The Gifted and Talented program is accepting nominations for students in grades 3, 4 & 5. If you would like to nominate your child, review the qualities of a gifted child and complete the nomination form by October 13 on the school website: dkies.org. > Instruction > Gifted & Talented.

Information will be sent home with students in their Wednesday folder, Oct. 4.

Our Fall Parent-Teacher Conference Week is scheduled for October 23-27, 2023.

At this conference, your child's teacher will share your child's report card, discuss their strengths and areas of challenge, and share strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

We look forward to seeing you virtually on Webex or in person!

During conference week, school will end at 12:45 pm on those days. Please make arrangements for your child's early release from school.

*The first conference block will begin at 1:00 pm. Conferences will be 15 minutes in length.

*First Quarter report cards will be distributed at your conference.
*Teachers with special classes are listed at the bottom of the scheduling page.

Students are researching games in the library this week.
They're asking these questions:
-How do you play?
-What's fun?
-What would you change?
Talk about the games your family loves to play and how you could create a game based on one of your favorites. We invite families to bring their games to Eat, Play, Build on September 29 from 5:00-6:30 to share their creation with other families! We'll have games outside the library in "Arcade Alley." YOUR games inspire others!
