Thank you for being a part of our DKIES School Community. Your feedback is valuable to school improvement efforts. The School Quality Survey (SQS) measures your perceptions of your child's safety and well-being at school, as well as your satisfaction with the school and your level of involvement.

Here are a few important reminders:

🌟 Early Dismissal - Friday, December 20 at 12:45 PM
Students will be dismissed early on Friday, December 20th at 12:45 PM to kick off the holiday break. Please plan accordingly for your child’s early pickup.

❄️ Winter Break - No School December 23 - January 3
School will be on winter break from Monday, December 23rd to Friday, January 3rd.

🗓️ Additional Important Dates:

Monday, January 6, 2025 - Teacher Workday (No school for students)
Tuesday, January 7, 2025 - Planning & Collaboration (PC) Day (No school for students)
📚 School Resumes for Students on Wednesday, January 8, 2025!

Join us for TWO (2) weeks of Fun!

Join your child for lunch at our Fall Family Feast on Wednesday, November 27!
Feel free to bring a special lunch for your student and join them for a extended picnic!

Are you ready for our 3rd Annual Food Fight! The trophy has been proudly displayed for the last year and we want to make sure it stays at DKIES! Please send in your items November 1-22nd.

Reminder: Parent-teacher conferences begin next week and run from 10/21-10/25.

During our conference week, school will end at 12:45 pm on those days. Please make arrangements for your child's early release from school.

The first conference block will begin at 1:00 pm. Conferences will be 15 minutes in length.
