Hi Families,

     Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Michelle Lau and I will be the Kindergarten Teacher at the Pineapple Academy for the 2021-22 school year. I wanted to take this opportunity to share a little about myself. I was born and raised here in Honolulu. I enjoy shopping, spending time with my family, and watching my daughter’s soccer games. I am also a Disney Fanatic! My family enjoys traveling, going to the beach, playing games together, watching movies, and just hanging out with our friends and family.

     This will be my 16th year teaching at Daniel K. Inouye Elementary. During this time, I was a Kindergarten and 2nd Grade Teacher, an RTI Literacy Coach, Mentor Teacher, and 100% Distance Learning Teacher for Grades K-2. My goal is to provide a positive learning environment for your child where they feel a sense of belonging and trust, feel safe and encouraged to take on challenges, ask questions, and take risks. Communication is essential and any concern of yours, is a concern of mine, as we keep your child’s best interest at heart. Looking forward to a great school year ahead!
