Transition Program & PCNC

Aloha and Welcome to Daniel K. Inouye Elementary School!

We are proud to welcome and support our military-connected students and families. Our Transition Program is designed to provide dedicated support for incoming military families as they become part of our school community. The program ensures a smooth and successful transition to both the school and island life.

Our Transition Program Offers:
  • Guided Campus Tours – Helping new families become familiar with our school environment.
  • Anchored4Life Support – A peer-based program that provides support for both incoming and outgoing students.
  • Student Connections – Opportunities for new students to meet peers, ask questions, and learn about DKIES in a welcoming and fun setting.

Our Parent-Community Networking Center (PCNC) is here to support YOU—our families! We work to build strong partnerships between parents, teachers, and the community to help every child thrive.

Here’s how we can help:
  • Stay Informed – We share monthly newsletters, school updates, and community resources to keep you connected.
  • Get Involved – Want to volunteer at school events or in the classroom? We coordinate and support parent (and military) volunteers!
  • Build Community – We team up with local groups and military partners to bring extra support and opportunities to our school.
  • Celebrate Together – From holiday events to Month of the Military Child, we help organize fun, meaningful experiences for our students and families.

We look forward to connecting with you and growing our DKIES ʻOhana together!

Whether you have a question, an idea, or want to get involved, we’re here for you. Our team is committed to supporting students, families, and staff as we build a strong, inclusive school community.

If you need assistance or would just like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re excited to welcome you and your family to DKIES!
